I am a 35 year old male. I want to remove my acne scars. What is the best procedure to remove acne scars?

There is no way to totally remove acne scars. All scars are permanent. You can obtain some smoothing with a variety of chemical or laser peeling procedures to the skin. The deep, "ice pick" scars often look better with surgical removal of the individual scars. Your active acne should be under control before you seek work on the scars.
I would recommend getting with your Dermatologist as they would be the best expert on acne scars. They do have laser treatments that may help but a dermatologist would be able to look at the scarring and give you better advice on which route best meets your needs according to your scarring.

Thank you for the question. The best results are usually a combination of procedures. These are performed at Medical spas by a Nurse Practitioner and an aesthetician. The best procedures are microneedling, chemical peels and laser. The degree of scaring determines the amount of sessions and what combination of these procedures. Make sure that you check medical spas and their reviews in your area.

Acne scars are notoriously difficult to treat and usually require a combination of treatments that vary between oral and topical medications, microneedling, dermal filler injections, needling with radiofrequency, laser or peel procedures, and/or surgery.
