Physical Therapist Questions knee pain

What should I do for knee pain?

I am experiencing a sharp pain whenever I bend my knees. I'm not sure why this is happening, but it started ever since I began running in the mornings before work. Do you think some stretches or other exercises could help me?

There could be several reasons why. The only way to give you a good answer
is to come in for an evaluation. It would be unprofessional otherwise.
I think you need to see an orthopedic doctor for diagnosis. You might need an X-ray and/or MRI.
Have a physical therapist take a look to determine exactly what is going on. There are so many reasons why you are having the pain.
There are many different reasons that may be causing your knee pain. I highly recommend a thorough evaluation from a physical therapist.
Yes, stretches after running will help alleviate pain. PT will be of great help.
Absolutely!! See a physical therapist for a proper regimen.
This could be nothing or it could be indicative of some other dysfunction. The only way to be certain would be to consult your local PT to determine what structures are causing your discomfort. Good luck.
This sounds like a common impairment. I recommend scheduling an evaluation by a physical therapist to individualize your treatment.
I highly recommend changing your workouts. If you just started to run without doing anything other exercises, you may be placing excessive stress on your knees. As always, a well balance exercise program consisting of weight training, mobility exercises, stability exercises, and cardiovascular exercises are important. Think of running like being a baseball pitcher. You wouldn't tell a baseball pitcher to throw a ball 100x a day at a 100MPH and not expect the pitcher to get hurt. The pitcher needs to be strong, mobile, good endurance, etc to be able to pitch. Same goes for a runner.....just running is not a great idea
