My son is 9 years old and has a lot of wax in his ears. What should I do if my child has excess wax in his ears?

First of all, only clean the outside of the ear. Do not introduce anything in the ear canal. The best thing to do is to take him to his pediatrician for removal of the ear wax. To loosen the wax you can use over-the-counter drops.
Hello

There are ear drops, such as Debrox for wax.
I would take him to his pediatrician first. They can look in his ears and see if it's occluding his ear canal. If it's just wax in the opening of the canal, that's normal and healthy. If it's occluding, then if the pediatrician can't get it out, an Ear, Nose, and Throat physician can get it out.
