There is nothing you need to avoid before treatment, only after.
No alcohol
Avoid eating to the point of being very full before an acupuncture treatment for the best results.
Take drugs, drink alcohol, etc.
You should not consume alcohol, fast, or deprive yourself of water. Conversely, make sure you are well hydrated before and avoid strenuous activity after your appointment.
No drugs or alcohol.
Hello! I will recommend the patients is not fatigue, taken their western medications such as high bp, and have a meal before the acupuncture appointment.
When you're hungry.
As long as your primary clears you, you’re fine and ready. Please be ready to answer some weird questions like do you enjoy cold weather more than hot, do you prefer cold or warm drinks or sweet vs salty. And remember to relax!

I don't recommend working out before/after the treatment. It is important to have a meal or a snack before your acupuncture therapy to make sure your glycemic index is normal. Sometimes, when patients don't eat, they sometimes feel more anxious or they are more sensitive to the treatment.

You shouldn't have any alcohol or get stoned before a treatment or immediately afterwards. Also, be sure to eat before your appoitment.
Hi,

Nothing in particular. You can do your normal routine.

Thanks,

Before acupuncture, it’s best to ensure you’ve eaten. I always prefer my patients to avoid added prescription drugs such as ibuprofen, if possible, so they may experience the raw benefits of acupuncture. Scheduling a busy day or exercise after acupuncture is not recommended, but to rest and relax, to enjoy the full benefits of your treatment!
Nothing.
Consume alcohol. Definite no no. That's about all I have for you that jumps to the top of my head.
Do not drink alcohol.
You should not let your stomach empty, you need to eat something;and if your body very weak, very sick, and bad mood, please don't go to have acupuncture.
Aside from the obvious like smoking or drinking, my only other recommendation would be to not eat a large meal. Have something light about an hour before so you aren't hungry.
Fasting. Acupuncture can sometimes decrease blood sugar. If you have not eaten for too many hours you can sometimes become light headed or dizzy if you have not eaten in a timely manner.
It is an excellent question. Thank you for asking it. Physical exercises should be avoided one hour before and after acupuncture.
It's important to be sober for your appointment. You should eat a small meal, and come wearing comfortable clothes so that the acupuncturists can reach up past your knee's if necessary and up to your elbows.
Generally the only pre-appointment advice I give to patients is to wear loose clothing and have a light meal or small snack prior to coming in. I don't usually have specific instructions for things to avoid.
