“When should you start having regular hearing tests?”
I am a 56 year old female. I was wondering when should you start having regular hearing tests?

The audiology professional organizations, AAA & ASHA, recommend your first baseline test at age 50, unless you experience hearing difficulty sooner. If your results show hearing within normal range, consider retesting in another 5 years. If hearing loss is identified, follow the recommendations of your audiologist.
It is recommended that everyone have a baseline hearing test by age 60. Angela R. Sieh Ceretto, M.A., CCC-A, FAAA Audiologist Pinnacle Audiology, LLC 6809 S. Minnesota Ave., Suite 101 605-306-4481
Hi, great question! If you have any concerns about your hearing or other health conditions that may affect your hearing (cardiovascular, diabetes, kidney, noise exposure, genetic history of hearing loss) then start now! If not, you can probably wait until around 60. If the hearing is normal then go every 2-3 years for monitoring. Good luck!
