Why do I have leg spasms after working out?

I am a 19 year old male. I did an exercise that put weight on my legs and now they are spasming painfully. Why do I have leg spasms after working out?

Leg spasms after working out can occur due to a few reasons. Firstly, it could be related to dehydration, as intense exercise causes fluid loss and electrolyte imbalances, leading to muscle cramps. Secondly, overexertion and muscle fatigue can also trigger spasms. Make sure to stay hydrated, stretch properly before and after workouts, and gradually increase the intensity of your exercises to prevent future spasms. If the problem persists, consider consulting a healthcare professional for a thorough evaluation. Take care!

Dehydrated + low magnesium
Without injury muscle spasms in young people are from electrolyte imbalance
Proper hydration and electrolyte balance is important to mitigate cramps. The Florida Gators recognized this years ago. Now we have "Gatorade"
It is widely believed that excessive sweating due to strenuous exercise can lead to muscle cramps. Deficiency of sodium and other electrolytes may lead to contracted interstitial fluid compartments, which may exacerbate the muscle cramping.
It is commonly caused by an electrolyte imbalance, particularly K and Mg. You can take some supplements with Mg and K and give it a try.
