I am a 22 year old female. I want to know why do I wake up with ear pain in the morning?

Where is the pain specifically in the ear? Do you sleep on the ear that hurts? How long does the pain persist after waking up? If it's persisting, then I would see an Ear, Nose and Throat (i.e. ENT) physician.
