Orthopaedic Surgeon Questions Elbow Injuries and Disorders

Will the torn tendon in my elbow always be a problem for me?

I hurt my elbow last month and now I got health insurance. I went to the doctor and he said I tore a tendon probably. It seems fine now. Will the torn tendon in my elbow always be a problem for me?

You said, “It feels fine now.” I recommend you see an orthopedist if you are concerned to help resolve your issue.
Depends which tendon and if it's a complete tear. If you have no functional deficit, it is probably not a complete tear.

Most musculoskeletal soft tissue injuries are best seen on MRI. If you tore a tendon, you should have pain and loss of function. If it seems fine now, it should be good to go. Evaluation by ortho and MRI would be recommended if you are really concerned about a tendon tear.
If it's okay now, it will probably remain fine.

Hope it helps!
