Endometriosis
Endometriosis is a condition in women in which abnormal tissue grows outside the uterus. This tissue can be found on the intestines, fallopian tubes, or on the ovaries.
Endometriosis can affect a woman's menstrual cycle and cause excruciating pain. It is treatable, and could include surgical intervention if symptoms are severe.
