Acupuncture can be very good for a hip pain. Hip pain can be due to many reasons though, it depends on the underlying reason. Some of the more common ones are hip bursitis, sometimes it can be hip arthritis, and sometimes hip pain is actually low back pain with referred pain through the glutes or hip. Regardless, the first step is to find out the etiology, the underlying reason. Orthopedic testing done by an acupuncturist, chiropractor, physical therapist or orthopedic can be helpful, but then often imaging is ordered. But if the hip pain is not very severe or chronic, it's likely that acupuncture will address it sooner. READ MORE

Does acupuncture help rotator cuff pain? Yes, it does. Rotator cuff injuries can have varying levels of severity, from small partial thickness (of tendon) tears to full thickness tear. Worse injuries may need surgery, however many rotator cuff injuries may not. In addition to acupuncture, it can also be very useful to get acu point injection therapy, where vitamins, amino acids, or homeopathics are injected. Some acupuncturists may be able to do this method for you. It depends of course on what method is used. If you get acupuncture from an acupuncturist who is killed at back pain, it should be better in about 3-8 sessions, or 2-4 weeks. If you get acupoint injection therapy (not to be confused with steroid shots or trigger point injections), it could be done in one session and healed up within a week.
