Dr. Goldberg treats conditions like depression, anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, bipolar disorders, personality disorders, insomnia, ADHD and other mental illnesses.

Pablo H. Goldberg, M.D.  Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, Columbia University Irving Medical Center; Medical Director of the Children’s Day Unit (CDU), New York Psychiatric Institute (NYSPI). Dr. Goldberg has been a faculty member in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Columbia University for over 20 years. He has been involved in clinical research in ADHD and adolescent suicide (involved in PATS, MTA and TASA, and other landmark studies.). He was also involved in clinical research exploring suicidality in adults in relationship to mood disorders. Dr. Goldberg contributed to the CAMS trial, and other pediatric anxiety and mood disorders trials. Dr. Goldberg has contributed to studies on OCD with Drs. Moira Rynn and Blair Simpson (pharmacological trials for these disorders: studying glutamate modulators​) ​and was recently the PI in ​an open trial of Ketamine for Pediatric OCD. Prior to becoming Medical Director of the Children’s Day Unit, Dr. Goldberg was the Director of the Child CPEP at NYP Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital.  Along with Dr. Laura Mufson and other expert faculty, Dr. Goldberg oversees the clinical trials carried out in the CDU, including trials investigating ADHD, pediatric depression, pediatric bipolar disorder, and pediatric anxiety disorders. ​He collaborates with Dr. Rachel Marsh's lab on neuroimaging ​studies of OCD. Other interests include the role of genetics in psychiatric morbidity and writing for the lay public. He is Faculty Advisory for Columbia Global Centers and ​a member of the IRB.    

 

Dr. Goldberg is a technique supervisor for second-year CAP fellows and is available as a supervisor for those fellows who wish to pursue scholarly activity in his areas of expertise.  Additionally, he supervises PGY-1 NYP/Columbia/NYSPI general psychiatry residents during their one-month child psychiatry rotations on the CDU.
