Is liposuction a permanent treatment?
This is a good question. Liposuction does remove fat cells however it is not a substitute for a tummy tuck. If you were told that you need to have a tummy tuck that is significant and is probably due to laxity of your abdominal wall. A tummy tuck in conjunction with liposuction would give you best results to regain your shape. READ MORE
How can a scar just above the eyes be removed?
It sounds as if you have a vertical scar on your forehead. I assume that it is at least 12 months old (it takes about that long for a scar to mature). A depressed scar can be improved with laser, dermabraision, or scar revision by surgically removing the scar, repairing the muscle under the skin, and creating multiple interdigitating flaps, then closing the skin. You may later need dermabraision. I would recommend that you see a BC plastic surgeon. READ MORE

Cosmetic surgery can be performed by anyone with a knife in the hand. Does liposcution help one lose weight or does it only tighten the skin?
Liposuction does help somewhat with weight reduction but its purpose is usually shaping. Skin contracture depends on factors as age, skin,previous pregnancies and other factors. Laser,ultrasound assisted liposuction may help skin tightening however BodyTite radiofriquency assisted liposuction can be a better way to tighten skin. Mom died of breast cancer- need feedback on nipple sparing masectomy
Thank you for your question. Very sorry to read about your mom. One consideration would be if she was diagnosed before or after menopause. My second question would be if your mom or you have had genetic testing. Have you had any mammograms yet, given your family history? Anyone other than your mom in your family with breast or ovarian cancer history? From your question, it is apparent you are contemplating a nipple sparing mastectomy. This is a well accepted procedure not only in patients with your history, but also in patients with malignant lesions, provided the tumor is not in proximity of the nipple/areola and biopsy inside the nipple during surgery is negative. Usually, the breast can be removed through an incision placed around the lower half of the areola . Without getting too much into surgical detail, generally the outcome is aesthetically pleasing. Of course other procedures may be needed at the same time such as a breast lift, padding with soft tissue or by other means. Good luck to you. READ MORE

I have had 3 separate procedures done by Dr Schwartz over a 10 year time period. There is a reason why I keep coming back to Dr. Schwartz. He has always been honest, upfront and my results have always been better than I had hoped for. I cannot believe how incredibly lucky I was to find this Doctor. I am a Nurse and knew I might be over critical in determining if this was the right Doc for me. I was pleasantly surprised by how warm and welcoming his office staff were and I love love love this Doc. He explained the procedures extremely well including all possible complications also exactly what I was to expect after the procedures which were tummy tuck and breast lift with augmentation. I had many questions and he was extremely patient in answering all of my questions and his office staff were also very supportive with all the questions I had for them as well. I am so incredibly pleased with his expertise and the results of my surgery. After my surgery, he was in constant communication with me to make sure all was well. I've been using Dr Schwartz for about 25 years now. In those years I've had several procedures done including breast augmentation, upper and lower eyelid reduction, brow lift, liposuction and recently an up cycling of my 20 year old breast implants. Dr Schwartz performed laser lips on my stomach and thighs. I am extremely happy with my results. I came out better than I ever expected. The surgery was very invasive and was back to my daily activities in no time. He truly is an amazing surgeon.
