Back in the early days of his academic career, Dr. Adams earned his Medical Degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences School of Medicine in 2007, graduating in the top 10% of his class with the honor of Alpha Omega Alpha membership. He then completed his internship and residency training at Madigan Army Medical Center and affiliated University of Washington Hospital System. To boot, he completed a Traveling Fellowship in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery at various sites, including Massachusetts General Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Board certified in orthopedic surgery, the doctor is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.
Receiving an honorable discharge as Lieutenant Colonel, Dr. Adams enjoyed a successful 16 year military career in the Air Force and Army. During his time with the Armed Forces, he held the position of Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Fort Stewart, Georgia; Baghdad, Iraq; and Fort Carson, Colorado. He completed two combat deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq and provided humanitarian orthopedic care through SIGN Fracture Care International organization.
