Discuss how do you manage a fibromyalgia flare-up

Depending on the severity of the flare - medication, heat, quiet, meditation, all help, but may not take the flare away. I had flares that lasted between 3 days to over 8 months. 

Do you have any support from friends and family during a flare-up?

I am very fortunate to have sisters who are a great strength for me, cousins and friends who are also a great support- both financially and emotionally.

How do you distract yourself from the pain?

Since I was a small child, I found a way to detach from myself, almost like I'm sitting across from myself. I also read, try to do gentle movements because it is imperative to be kind to yourself.
