Thanks for your question. It really depends upon symptoms, severity of the curve, etiology of the curve, patient’s age and other prognostic factors for scoliosis. In the absence of significant pain or limitation, adults with moderate scoliosis of lumbar or even thiraco-lumbar region even up io 15-20 degrees so not need surgery. Indon’t Know your age but a corset may help. Having said that, scoliosis is not my central area of expertise.
