Yes. Acupuncture is safe for diabetic patients. The needle insertion site must be clean. The needle is single-use only.
Acupuncture is absolutely safe for diabetics, but it is important that you have a protein-rich meal with them two hours after your treatment. Acupuncture can cause blood sugar levels to lower, leaving you feeling lightheaded if you have not eaten. Also, make sure to hydrate before and after your treatment.
Acupuncture with herbs (maybe King herbs), and sometimes massage, can be safe and effective to treat Diabetes Type 2 patients.
Yes. One of the main benefits of acupuncture is that it is safe if practiced by a competent practitioner.
Yes absolutely. Always inform your provider of any medical conditions. But generally, acupuncture is safe for Diabetics.
Absolutely, acupuncture is safe for diabetic patients. I would guess that at least half my practice is diabetic. And don't worry about needles in your legs or feet. They are so small that you don't have to worry.

I work a lot with both type 1 and type 2 diabetics. If your provider is a nationally board certified and state licensed acupuncturist, yes, it's very safe. Potential patients are looking for a provider with at least 2 credentials:
1. A Dipl AC or Dipl OM through NCCAOM.
2. An L.Ac. or R.Ac. practice license issued by the state.
If your provider doesn't have both of these, you are seeing someone who did not attend and graduate from an accredited program for Chinese medicine.
