Having assisted with many wisdom teeth extractions, I can't determine how long a wisdom tooth extraction will take. You want the wisdom tooth extracted, it is you, your tooth. You wouldn't want a time limit set on a surgery on some other part of your body. Having someone like your mom waiting for you, your mom wouldn't want your doctor to hurry because she is waiting.
Typically the procedure is about 1 hour.
