However, the pain level is depending on the type of surgery, the pain you experience from a knife cut is more than from shaving cut, and also depending on the pain threshold of each individual patient, same surgery some may feel more pain than others. If you are compliance with the surgeon’s post op instructions then your recovery will be uneventful unless some there is some complications.

If the tooth is very impacted or positioned in a very difficult position, it will require longer time for the surgery then it will take longer to recover. Do not open your mouth for a long period, tell you dentist that you have this problem so he/she can let you rest every so often to prevent stressing your jaw. Avoid stress.
