It may take 3 to 6 months to see the results. But you look pretty good at 6 weeks. A lot of my patients look good in much shorter time.

It's not the lift that help but the rearrange of soft tissue and redrape the skin over it for a natural look depending the shape of your face.
To answer your question directly: my patients go home the same day since I manage to control pain under local anesthesia even if it is a pretty major procedure.

So it's an elective surgery and I do it on healthy people only. I shouldn't cause any health issue but there may be complications as any other surgery. And aesthetically rhinoplasty is one of the most complex one technically and even more so aesthetically. Lot of patients are not happy with the results. So you should really consider doing it if you want to improve the look since it may make you look different than the way you imagine how you want it look.
So to me no heath issues, but expectation issues are more likely.

Every person recovers differently; to be honest you can't do much to speed up the healing process but to prevent the problems.

When you remove the relatively redundant skin, your look improves but the aging process continues and you may need to fill the deficit area to look more like you when you are younger. You know, nothing is permanent. So it is your choice to do it earlier to look better for a time after the the procedure is done. You will be happy if you don't expect a dramatic improvement (you may get it if your case favors the outcome).
