You should have it checked out to rule out anything more serious. Pain is usually a symptom that something is not right

Not usually. Some post op discomfort right after the placement of the crown is normal, but should go away after a few days

You see a dentist right away, if you have pus in the gum. Pus in the gums is not a healthy situation
Do you need antibiotics for treating gingivitis?
That depends on what is causing the gingivitis. Another option to treat gingivitis is laser biofilm reduction
