In many cases, especially nowadays, patients and physicians are losing proper communication. Mainly because of the excessive guidelines of health plans, such as approvals of procedures or medication copayments and availability by insurance companies. And unfortunately, both parties (meaning patients and physicians), are squeezed to the max. I do advise my patients to repeat the written instructions before leaving and also demand a written prescription because many pharmacists deny the prescription because they don’t want to call the doctor's office when the insurance is not covering the medication.
