Bird fanciers lung?

Can I keep chickens outdoors when I have lung fanciers disease? My daughter will be looking after the chickens.

This allergic disease depends on your degree of exposure. So how many chickens? Where will they be located? I think if down wind where their smell does not come to you, probably okay. If you have any contact with them, you should where a fitted N95 mask (meaning an N95 mask that has a tight seal around your face). Obviously, if you get them and you notice any allergic symptoms, then they would need to go.

Probably okay, but quit immediately if you develop new breathing problems.
