Acupuncture: Potential Benefits Some studies suggest that acupuncture may have a positive impact on blood pressure by promoting relaxation, improving blood circulation, and reducing stress.

Regular Exercise: Engaging in regular physical activity can help lower blood pressure. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise per week, as recommended by health guidelines.

Stress Reduction: Practices such as mindfulness, meditation, and yoga may help reduce stress, contributing to better blood pressure management.
Yes. Hypertension can be relieved and fixed gradually by massage, acupuncture and herbs. You will need 2-3 sessions a week for 4-8 weeks in a row (depends on severity). This will give your provider time to observe and reevaluate to ensure you get relief.
If cutting back on salty foods doesn't do the trick, try using pressure lowering techniques like meditation and yoga. Otherwise, it's important to get that blood pressure down, so if nothing else works, get meds from you MD.
The problem with most types of hypertension is that they fall into a category labeled "idiopathic" which is just a fancy way of saying, "We don't have any idea why this happens". When you don't know what's causing the problem, it's difficult to apply a fix.

Chinese medicine and acupuncture are sometimes more successful with issues like hypertension because we have a diagnostic category that covers the cause of the problem - though that diagnostic category has no meaning to anyone outside of Chinese medicine. Even with that, I've had patients who still required a certain level of maintenance in order to keep their blood pressure in a desirable range.

Most patients still consider it a win if we end up in maintenance because it's typically one treatment every 4-6 weeks vs a daily pill.
