If it radiates from the back down to the lower extremity. Otherwise, isolated heal pain can be addressed by our podiatrist, Dr. Trey Iakovidis.
Depending on the cause of your heel pain, there are a few different ways in which a chiropractor could help. You have 26 bones in your foot and all of them can be adjusted. Most commonly the calcaneus and talus are adjusted to aid in foot mobility and reduce symptoms. Combining the adjustments with soft tissue work could also be helpful, to release tension in the muscles of the surrounding areas.
Yes. Chiropractic Physicians are extremely capable of treating most causes of heel pain. First, examination(and probably x-rays) are performed to arrive at an accurate diagnosis. Then, treatment plan is recommended and active treatment is started.
It depends on what the cause of the heel pain is. At our office we do an exam and take x-rays of the area that is causing pain to figure out what the root cause of the pain is and then we treat from there.
Thanks for the question. I would suggest you see a podiatrist. It could be anything from plantar fasciitis to a heel spur. Jay H Schwartz, DC, DIBCN, DIBE
Hi! yes, I can help with heel pain! It depends on the source of the heel pain. if it is not better with ice, rest, over the counter pain medication like Motrin or Advil (if you are able to take that) and gentle stretching, I would call to make an appointment.
Hello, Thank you for your question. We you have to evaluate you and take foot x-rays if needed. Please call our office 973-817-9577 or on our portal drtotten.com for an appointment.
Thank you
It depends on the type of cause of heel pain. It need starts with exam and X-rays.
Yes. Heel pain is most often caused by plantar fasciitis. I have written a great deal on this site about plantar fasciitis, so you can look those responses up.
Chiropractic adjustments can help heel pain (aka Plantar Fasciitis) if the cause of the pain is a misalignment of one or more of the bones in the foot. However, heel pain is most frequently caused by poor arch support which causes increased stress on the Plantar Fascia. This is a ligament that begins at the heel and stretches across the bottom of the foot.

Our office has had great success with using inexpensive "off the shelf" orthotics to remove tension from the Plantar Fascia and painless laser therapy to reduce the inflammation that causes the pain.
We can help with heel pain. I recommend you schedule an appointment with a foot and ankle surgeon (podiatrist) for diagnosis and treatment options.
