Yes most Orthopedic surgeons will treat nerve pain that is a result of a structural problem. So if you have a pinched nerve, herniated disk, tumor or cyst putting pressure on nerve, bone Spurs irritating nerves and many other problems that can be addressed with medication, therapy, bracing, shoe ware etc then we would care for these. Medical issues such as brain related problems, MS, Diabetic neuropathy and chronic non-specific nerve pain are treated by other physicians. Hope this helped a little. Good luck.
Yes, some orthopedic doctors do treat nerve pain. It can depend on what is causing the nerve pain and where it is located.

Yes, but there are many areas of specialization within orthopedics. The specific type of orthopedic doctor that would be appropriate for you would depend on the type and location of your nerve pain.
Great question! Some orthopedic physicians treat nerve pain but not all do. Hand surgeons treat nerve pain in response to carpal tunnel syndrome and Orthopedic Spine surgeons treat nerve pain due to pinched nerves in the back. If you have general nerve pain you may better be served by a neurologist or pain management specialist.
Hope this helps!
