We perform venous ablation with local anesthetic in the office.
Most vein procedures are performed in an office setting, local anesthesia is used, and the patient is awake.
Typically one doesn’t need general anesthesia for varicose vein surgery. Mostly these procedures are done under local anesthesia. Sometimes oral sedatives may be prescribed. This is it and it's perfect! Make it a great day.

Most providers perform this procedure in the clinic with local anesthesia only. I would speak to your doctor about his/her plan prior to your procedure.
