If your husband’s finger sores won’t heal after 3 months, possible causes include:

✔️ Eczema or psoriasis – Skin conditions that cause cracking and sores.
✔️ Infection – Bacterial or fungal infections can stop healing.
✔️ Poor circulation – If blood flow is low, wounds heal slowly.
✔️ Allergic reaction – Something touching his skin may be causing irritation.
✔️ Diabetes or other health issues – Can slow healing and cause skin problems.

Since it’s not healing and getting worse, he should see a doctor as soon as possible.

Hello there! The skin may be inflamed or infected so I recommend see a physician/dermatologist that can evaluate, and if needed, biopsy and diagnose this skin condition so appropriate treatment can be given!

Hello, it might be a wart underneath or very close to the fingernail and if your husband keeps picking it, then it may get worse and end up with secondary inflection. The best thing to do is let the wart grow and get cryotherapy done from your PCP. However, don't forget to get a fungal study done as well for differential diagnosis. Thank you.
