“How does it feel to get a chiropractic adjustment?”
I am a 38 year old male. I want to know how does it feel to get a chiropractic adjustment?

To me, it depends on the technique that is used. Manuel adjustments done by hand I find to be more effective than instrument adjusting. Sometimes an adjustment can be a little uncomfortable for a second or two depending on muscle tension and how fixated the area being adjusted is. The after effects have been described to me as euphoric, a feeling of increased energy, and immediate relaxation.

I think it feels great! I have heard many different descriptions from my patients. Some examples may include "I feel lighter", "I feel looser", "I feel like a weight has been taken off my shoulders", "I feel like I'm taller" and so on. The adjustment frees up the joints, allowing them to move easier, decreasing the amount of stress on your joints and muscles.
Each patient is different but there is little to no pain involved in an adjustment. Patients usually feel pops and cracks, but should not feel any intense pain. On average, if you weren't in pain prior to the adjustment, you won't be after. Some patients do experience some mild soreness or minor aches after a visit.
Ya know, it's different for everyone, for the most part there is an audible crack or pop and a feeling of relief. Depending on where in the spine that the adjustment takes place there can be a feeling of relaxation due to the release of endorphins and other feel good hormones while the body shifts into a more " rest and digest neurology "
