Depends on the cause of the swollen heel. I would recommend having a provider take a look at it to evaluate whats wrong before you can make a determination on healing time. Dr. E
It all depends what is causing the swelling. Is it due to a soft tissue injury ? Is it due to a fracture ? Is it due to venous insufficiency ? Is it due to tendonitis ? Etc., etc.
Hi! This is difficult to answer without knowing the source of the swelling and more information but in general any swelling to a foot or ankle due to trauma or surgery can take several months to year to resolve. If you do not know the source of the swelling, I would recommend an evaluation by a professional.
It depends on the pathology that is causing the swelling. Sometimes swelling is due to circulatory issues. Sometimes it is a response to an injury or a fracture. Without knowing the diagnosis, it is impossible to give you appropriate advice.
This will vary based on the cause of the swelling. I recommend you make an appointment with a foot and ankle surgeon (podiatrist) for evaluation, diagnosis and treatment options
