Depending on what you mean by correct. With or without surgery, it takes about 6 weeks for a ligament to heal.
While youth is on your side, Unfortunately ligaments never truly heal. They have a poor blood supply and have a tendency to scar down as opposed to heal. You can improve this with the combination of physical therapy and regenerative medicine injections, but they are unlikely to ever be 100% again.
Good question. Sometimes they never completely heal, but instead form scar tissue. Ultimately depends on the severity of damage and location of ligament/tendon. If mild should see improvement in 2 weeks, moderate can take up to 12 weeks and if severe injury sometimes never.
It depends on what ligament is involved and what other tissues or structures are involved. I would recommend seeking a local PT for consultation.
It depends on the ligament and to what extent it was torn and can vary widely from a few weeks to months and longer if surgery is required.
The are several degrees of ligament injuries: grade I may take 1-2 weeks to heal; grade II may take 4-6 weeks to heal; & grade 3 may take 12 weeks to heal or it may require surgery to repair or reconstruct.
I think you mean how long does it take for a torn ligament to heal. It depends. If the ligament is only partially torn, then 4-6 weeks. If a ligament is torn in half, then it may take 3-4 months to heal.
