I have a heel spur and want to fix it. How long does it take to get rid of a heel spur?

In my office, a heel spur is removed via an office 45 min procedure under only local anesthesia, no hardware is used, patients walk on the same day, full recovery is 2-4wks.
Hi,
A heel spur is when the area where the tendon in the heel attaches to the bone gets irritated. The bone actually grows a little bit of arthritis. This can sometimes get inflamed, which can cause pain and sometimes it is not inflamed. When it is not painful or inflamed you still have the heel spur. The only way to get rid of a heel spur is surgery, but the trick is to decrease the inflammation. Things that can help this or physical therapy, rest, strengthening, topical creams, and anti-inflammatories.
I hope you feel better soon.

Without surgery, a heel spur cannot be removed. However, if you are referring to plantar fasciitis, often the pain stems from pain at the plantar fascia insertion, not the spur itself.
Good afternoon,
Spurs are bony outgrowths that usually present as some type of stress or repetitive activity. Since it is a bone, it maybe difficult to say get rid of it. You can do therapy on the leg and foot and find a facility that does shock wave therapy. All these treatments will hopefully help by taking tension off the tissues and reduce the pain the spur is causing.
I hope this helps and answers some of your questions.

If you're talking about surgery it can be removed in a short surgical proceedure but the recovery is about 3 months
