Autopsy usually takes two to four hours to perform. Preliminary results are withing 24 to 36 hrs., but the full results may take up to six weeks. Thank you.
It usually begins either the day of or the next day depending on what the coroner and investigators decide.

Usually within 24 hours of the body being delivered to the morgue.
