No, please see your dentist. It is very common for a need for one or several follow up adjustment appointments to finally get them fitting properly and comfortable
No. You probably need an adjustment. I tell my denture patients they will probably come in 1-2 times for an adjustment after denture insertion.
The dentures do not hurt, your gums do. You need to go back for adjustments. You also need to clean them very well with denture brush and soap.
It is completely normal for new dentures to be uncomfortable and even cause severe pain. It is important to follow up with your dentist for adjustments shortly after the delivery of your denture to properly fit the denture. Typically for my patients, 3-6 adjustments are required over the first few months on full dentures to get the patient comfortable.
Yes, you can have sore spots and need to follow up with your dentist at 1 week, 2 week, and 1 month intervals to adjust.
New dentures can cause minor discomfort. If the pain becomes unbearable, it is important to contact your dentist for adjustments of the denture. Also, it is important to follow the denture post-insertion instructions.
The short answer is yes, a new set of dentures will generally require several adjustments to remove sore spots and pressure points.
Yes, this is normal as your gums and supporting bone are adjusting to your new dentures. You might need a couple or more adjustments of your dentures at your dentist's office to relieve any sore spots for your comfort.
Yes, but you need to go back to the dentist for an adjustment sometimes more than once. Getting used to the new denture takes about 3 weeks.
