Ear, Nose and Throat Doctor (ENT) Questions Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT)

Nose injury?

I had trauma to my nose. There was no bleeding and my nose does not appear misshapen but there has been a constant pain since. The pain starts half way up my nose on the right side and goes up into my eyebrow. The same will increase and then go back to the constant do pain. My nose is slightly stuffy on that side. Should I see a doctor or just wait it out?

Since it has only been 1 day, as you noted, this may very well pass. If it persists for several more days, make an appointment with an ENT or facial plastic surgeon for an evaluation. There could have been a hairline fracture (may not be able to be definitively determined). It's likely that no intervention is required if there is not a change in appearance, but the doctor will rule out any internal injuries.
Just wait it out. No reason to go to the ED. Motrin 800mg with meals.

Tough to say without an exam.
If your ability to breathe through your nose and its appearance have not changed, it's unlikely there's anything wrong, but it would probably be worth your peace of mind to consult with an ENT doc. Any chance of a foreign body in your nose? You didn't specify how the injury happened.
You should be seen 4-5 days after injury if there is any change in nasal breathing compared to before injury, any change in appearance after any swelling has resolved. If you developed a fever over 100 F, be seen sooner.
Hello,

If any pain or congestion, recommend see an ENT Specialist.
Thank you.
