Optometrist Questions Ophthalmologist

Right swollen eyelid?

My right eye is swollen and red, just the eyelash line. It’s my 3rd day and it’s gotten worse I’ve been using warm compression and it eases the pain but doesn't work. I don’t see a bump or lump to think it’s a stye.

Looks like a chalazion . I prescribe antibiotics and warm compresses and then surgical removal of nothing works
Looks like blepharitis or a chalazion with preseptal Cellulitis.
Warm compresses and lid scrubs should help reduce the inflammation. If there is no improvement in a few days, a complete ophthalmologic exam should be performed.
It may be infected. See an Ophthalmologist.
Is it painful to touch your right upper eyelid? It could be stye or hordeolum that is forming inside your eyelid. It’s recommended to apply warm compresses to the exact location of the bump but not to the other areas because the entire lid swells with heat. When you visit your optometrist they will thoroughly evaluate your eyelid and they may even need to prescribe eye drops or even antibiotic tablets if your condition worsens.
This is almost definitely a chalazion, or stye. It is an infected oil gland.
