Severe neuropathy cause?

Hi there, my husband had run out of insulin for several reasons but finally got some (without a script bc of an issue with insurance) and neither of us is savvy with dosage, etc. It usually helps relieve his neuropathy pain but this time the pain is worsening to the point of keeping him from even walking except to the bathroom and he keeps taking more insulin which, I know isn't a pain reliever and it's embarrassing but he's very stubborn about getting help and I have no help in being his caregiver so any advice on what might be causing this will be greatly appreciated

Get him on some B-1, Benfotamine and L-Theonine. These are all B-vitamins that can dampen down neuropathy.
gabapentin can help with neuropathic pain. he probably needs regular sugar control with his insulin as well.
Insulin is meant to control blood sugar and is not useful for neuropathy pain except through the control of blood dust. Monitoring blood sugar at home with the advice of your family doctor is the best way to prevent worsening neuropathy pain. There are much more effective ways to treat neuropathy pain, that would allow him to sleep better and Ave a better quality of life.
Tell your husband to. NOT DO THAT.He is at risk of hurting himself severely and possibly dying of a hypoglycemic shock. Contact your primary and get him in ASAP.He needs to be monitored closely and have his diabetes controlled then you work on the neuropathy which is an effect of poorly controlled diabetes. Please tell him he is playing with a very dangerous treatment.
