Should I go to the ER?

I haven’t been able to keep any food down at all for a little more than a week.

I am sorry you are feeling bad and are unable to keep food down. Yes, please go to the ED, you may be dehydrated also, and possibly may have some blood abnormalities which need to be corrected with IV fluids.
Without knowing more, my answer is yes. If you have had vomiting or diarrhea for more than a few days, you are susceptible to being dehydrated . Your potassium and magnesium levels could be altered . You may need IV fluids . They may need to do an abdominal ultrasound after examining you . I would recommend yes . Good luck .

That sounds awful. My first advice is small frequent meals. It may be esophagitis. Sometimes the estrogen dose in BCP is too high. Your doctor can help you change to a lower dose. Rarely we can get esophagitis that makes it difficult to swallow. Finally, I'm sure you already did this but, go to the nearest Pharmacy/Target/Walmart and grab a pregnancy test. Of course if you are dehydrated (the skin on your arm makes a tent when you pinch it) or losing weight dramatically then straight to the ER. Props to you for taking care of yourself so well at 17!!
Only go to the ER for a true emergency, e.g. if you are very dehydrated, getting dizzy or passing out. If you are keeping liquids down then should have time to get to another doctor such as a primary care doctor, or pediatrician.
