To ensure the safest and most effective approach for your ankle pain, I recommend scheduling an appointment with Dr. Loor. He can assess your condition and provide tailored recommendations for relief.

Rest, ice, compression, and elevation are best for a swollen ankle. If the ankle pain persists for longer than 2 weeks, then I would recommend following up with your local podiatrist or orthopedic.
A massage, knowing what you are doing, is always good but if you have a lesion or pain, you should consult with someone that could help instead of hurt.
If the swelling is caused by poor circulation, Massage helps. Other causes of swelling may be worsened by massage so you need to go to a podiatrist to have your ankle, examined and determine what is causing the swelling. Kathleen T Neuhoff Dpm. Sent from the all new AOL app for iOS
Massage can be helpful but you need to know what is causing the pain. I recommend you make an appointment with a foot and ankle surgeon (podiatrist) for diagnosis, evaluation and treatment options
It depends on what is causing the pain in your ankle. In some cases, massage may make the problem worse.
