Tonsil problems?

Left tonsil has been swollen for about two months or maybe even longer? I get pain sometimes. I have acid reflux and heartburn problems but I take Pepcid Ac for that. I woke up yesterday with white stuff on both tonsils with tonsil stones coming up over the past few days, whenever I would eat stuff got stuck on the way but was able to get stuff down, headaches and burning throat pain. My left tonsil is still enlarged but the other is fine. What may the cause be?

Infected tonsil
See your physician
You should see your doctor to make sure you don’t have streptococcal pharyngitis, otherwise known as strep throat. Burning throat pain, white exudate on tonsils, and headaches could be symptoms of a strep infection. If strep is negative, could be some other viral infection or even allergies leading to the tonsil swelling and stones.
It sounds as if you may have a viral or bacterial infection. You may start rinsing with a warm salt water solution (1-2 tablespoons salt in a tall glass of warm water) 3-4 times a day but I urge you to be seen by your primary care physician for further evaluation.
