Mini implants are typically made of titanium alloys; however, there are new generations of implants made of zirconium.
Titanium. They are generally longer and much narrower than traditional implants. Traditional implants are also usually made of titanium, but some are now made of zirconia which gives an esthetic appearance in the anterior (front teeth areas) when patients have esthetic concerns so they don't show gray at or through the gumline. Hope that helps!
Mini implants are usually made of Titanium, you will have to discuss with your surgeon specifics of what they use. You should specifically talk to a surgeon on what would be best for you and for your oral health.
Mini implants are made from titanium alloys and are strong enough to withstand normal chewing force and can be used for immediate-load, long-term restorations.
