Symptoms of hyperacidity include but are not limited to the following: stomach ache/pain, dyspepsia, burning, reflux or GERD, nausea and/or vomiting, improvement of stomach symptoms with food or antacids, worsening of stomach symptoms with alcohol, acidic drinks or foods, and with fatty foods
Most common symptoms are heartburn, nausea, especially if you eat too much or skip a meal.

It's actually not common to have too much acid in the stomach. This would only happen in certain stages of H pylori infection or very rare tumors.
Most people have normal amounts of acid, but that acid might go into the esophagus to cause heartburn. But if there were really too much acid then it can cause ulcers and abdominal pain.
