Diabetes diet consist of high proteins (fish, chicken, turkey, sometimes eggs), non starchy vegetables and very small amount of carbs (a serving of either bread or pasta or rice or potatoes or fruit). A serving is 15 grams of carb is about 1/3 of cup of cooked rice/pasta/ one medium potato. Bread and fruits - what comprises 15g is found either on packaging or for fruits on Internet. Hope this helps. Dr Marina Strizhevsky
