Caudal epidural injections, lumbar or transforaminal approach if the cause is a herniated non-surgical disc. Piriformis muscle injection and perhaps Botox injection if physical therapy does not provide benefit, if piriformis spasm is the cause, and lastly, incidentally SI joint injection and RFA may improve symptoms that are similar to sciatic pain but that are pathway pain distribution of Si joint disfunction. Oral Gabapentin can help. It requires prescription.
I would ask your local physical therapist :) its difficult to say what is best when I don't know your existing impairments. Start with what's called a sciatic floss (looks like an active hamstring stretch when you google it) and just do x10 per day. Work with a local PT for tailored strength exercises!
It really depends on the cause. You would need to be evaluated by a PT in your area. Nerve glides would be a good place to start
Heat and massage and hamstring stretching can help. Anti-inflammatories and possibly physical therapy can also help.
Depending on the cause of the sciatic pain, chiropractic can be the answer. If indicated, specific adjustments to the hips and low back can help relieve the pain while also supplementing with specific stretches.
