Why do I get a scar/mark on my forehead when I get a migraine?

Hello, I have dealt with migraines since I was four, but for quite a few years I began getting a scar that only appears when I have one that all the pain stems from. The area becomes sensitive, reddish in color, and dry. Usually, it is located in the center of the head, but sometimes it appears on the left or right side of the head. I also break out all around the scar.

Concerning habit/impulse: Pain numbs for a bit when I hit the area with my hand and sometimes when the pain is unbearable, I stick a needle in the area. It can last 3 to 6 days, but I can trigger migraines frequently. I have had an MRI for my headaches, see a brain specialist, etc. They could not give me a concrete reason, misunderstood what I was explaining and the last option I was given was to pay thousands on freezing the area I get them in. I just want to know what it could mean, what it is and how I can properly deal with it.

I don’t know for sure, but migraine is a vascular phenomenon involving the scalp blood vessels. It’s probably part of your migraines, though I don’t have a good answer about what to do for it.
Sorry.
Quite candidly, I cannot come up with a likely possibility. I suggest when this happens again take pictures so that would make the description a bit easier. I do not know of scars that appear and disappear spontaneously. I as well share the skepticism of freezing something that one does not know what it is. Talk to your Neurologist and if he/she does not know what it is once they see the pictures, then ask for a referral to an appropriate specialist.
