Can massage therapy help with chronic pain?

I have chronic pain because of my autoimmune disease. I'm looking into massage therapy to help me find some relief with my pain. Does it work?

Massage is one of the best treatments for chronic pain. It has the capability resetting the body to a balanced state.
Massage and the less invasive (no stroking or pressing in on trigger points) passive treatments will work well in alleviating some pain. Internal inflammation will do better with a combination of these techniques and internal treatments with probiotics, ginger, etc as appropriate.

It slides but make sure you find the right massage therapist who has experience in this.
Yes. Depends on what is causing the chronic pain and what therapies you are currently using for pain. I also suggest to find a massage therapist close to you and talk to them about your pain. There should be a type of massage therapy that can help reduce your pain.
Frequent and regular massage may be the best treatment for you.

Yes! Massage therapy is wonderful for chronic pain, but as well as other conditions, you’d need to get massage therapy regularly to see and long term differences.
