“How long do partial dentures last?”
I am a 49 year old female. I want to know how long do partial dentures last?

It depends on many factors, of most note are the teeth that support the partial denture. If the remaking teeth are healthy and without gum disease, the partial can be used for many years.

How long a partial denture lasts depends upon a number of factors: What type of partial denture it is (cast metal, acrylic, flexible polymer), the quality of the materials (e.g., high grade, economy, etc.), your bite (heavy, normal), etc. On average, partial dentures last between 5-8 years. With so many variables, it could be more or less. I suggest you see your dentist to discuss your specific situation and get a more definitive answer.
Hope this helps.
