“How long should you wait to drink water after getting a tooth pulled?”
I am a 26 year old female. I want to know how long should you wait to drink water after getting a tooth pulled?

Usually after any bleeding has stopped, less than 1-2 hours after the extraction. Be careful not to use a straw or swish and spit within the first 24 hours following an extraction.
Hello,
If you are having a tooth pulled you should wait about 30 minutes before drinking water. You can drink water before this if you need to, but you are going to be biting on gauze which would make drinking water difficult. You are also going to have anesthesia in your mouth so you may spill the water while trying to drink it. In this case, you might want to wait until the anesthesia wears off so everything feels normal.
Hope this helps.

No delay is generally required. Follow your post op instructions from the provider who extracts it however.
