Usually osteoporosis by itself does not cause pain unless you are afflicted with a fracture from osteoporosis. you may have a fracture or osteoarthritis that is causing your pain. In lot of elderly or middle aged post menopausal females, osteoporosis is diagnosed when they experience a fragility fracture- a fracture resulting from a fall from standing height or less. These fractures, which most commonly occur at the hip, spine, or wrist, are an indication that the body's bones have been weakened by an underlying illness like osteoporosis. you can see an endocrinologist or a Rheumatologist
I would see a naturopathic physician, there are several natural remedies available which are much safer than the drugs usually prescribed for osteoporosis
Rheumatologists often treat osteoporosis. If you live near an academic medical center, you should be able to find a rheumatologist who specializes in osteoporosis.
