“I have a gap between my two teeth. Why?”
I noticed this gap when I was younger, but as time has gone by, I've observed that this gap has gotten bigger. What could be the reason for this? Is braces the only way to correct this?

An orthodontist should be consulted as you view your X-rays and consult to determine if the tooth can just be built up to mask the problem or if prices are needed to equilibrate all the teeth for ideal correction
You need to determine why the gap is there. Are the teeth too small? Is one jaw growing faster than another? You might want to visit an orthodontist. Closing the gap can be done with either braces or with addition of tooth colored materials to the teeth to make them wider. Every situation is different.
It depends on a few factors, especially your age from when you 1st noticed it until your current age. Sometimes braces can correct it and sometimes they can't. Sometimes there's a muscle attachment that comes to low between your front teeth and it creates pressure against the teeth, making it difficult to keep them together. A minor surgery might be required to give you the full results you would be happy with.
