Is a nerve block safe for seniors?

My mother needs to have a nerve block but I am concerned. Is a nerve block safe for seniors?

Age is a factor, but not for what type of anesthesia. I prefer to use elderly because some consider 55 yo is senior, while to us that is a middle age.
Nerve blocks are safe for most ages beyond young children although accommodations may have to be made if patient can’t hold still—it is hard to hit a moving target. Of course results may vary with the skill and experience of the injector.

All anesthesia has risks. But local anesthesia has less risk for elders.
